Community Centre Changes
During the course of the next three years a new structure will be established for the running of all the Borough's community centres. This will affect the Barlow Institute in Edgworth. The Barlow Institute was built for and is owned by Turton residents.
The Borough Council will gradually withdraw funding and services following full training of a management committee. This will be an opportunity for increased resident involvement and participation which should lead to some exciting times.
Tockholes' residents will not be affected by these changes. Tockholes' residents have been running their own village hall for several years now, with a considerable measure of hard work, enterprise and enthusiasm.
