News on Turton Tower
Turton Tower was officially handed over to Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council in 2010. A new trust was formed and Jean is Vice Chairman.
The water wheel. originally from Turton Bottoms, was relocated from Turton Tower to a more visible location. A grant from Biffa paid for the relocation of the wheel, refurbishment of toilets at the Tower, new footpaths and improvements to existing footpaths in the grounds.
New play equipment was installed in the grounds thanks to other grants.
